Beryl var. Morganite - Elizabeth R Mine, Pala, California

A Morganite (Pink Beryl) specimen from the Elizabeth R Mine, Chief Mountain, Pala Mining District, San Diego County, California. We don't see nice California Morganites of this size every day!

Includes a custom-fitted acrylic base made by Mark Woods of Southeastern Mineral Specimens.

The specimen has nice color throughout, and great luster on its largest face. The backside is fully etched, but the sharp angles of the crystal's hexagonal form are still fully visible. There is even a small gas and fluid inclusion (enhydro), which shifts slightly in a small cavity.
