Blue Aragonite - Yunnan Province, China

Acicular (needle-like) crystals of Aragonite from Yunnan Province, China, with a pleasing blue color. These specimens are fairly translucent when lit from the back or the side. 

Aragonite is a polymorph of Calcite, meaning they share the same chemical formula, CaCO3, but they differ in that Aragonite grows in an Orthorhombic structure, where Calcite grows in a Trigonal structure.

I am fully comfortable shipping these, but please be aware that the crystals are fragile and some minor chipping or flaking is to be expected in transit.
